Using files located on non-Government of Canada servers

Official languages

Many social media platforms have multiple language options and provide instructions on how to set your preferences. The Government of Canada respects the Official Languages Act and is committed to ensuring that our information of is available in both French and English and that both versions are of equal quality.

Government of Canada Privacy Statement

The Government of Canada and the FGP are committed to respecting the privacy of individuals who visit our websites. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat websites. Personal information is collected under the authority of the Financial Administration Act, and in accordance with the Communications Policy of the Government of Canada.

  • The FGP does not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, phone number, email or street address during your visit to its websites. This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail, or registering in a secure portion of the site.
  • All personal information you do provide is protected under the federal Privacy Act. This means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, of the purpose for which it is being collected and that you have a right of access to the information.
  • Visitor information is not disclosed to anyone except FGP and Shared Services Canada personnel who need the information to respond to a request.   • Emails and other electronic methods used to communicate with us via this website are not secure unless it is specifically stated on the Web page. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not send sensitive personal information, such as your Social Insurance Number or your date of birth, through non-secure electronic means.
  • The FGP uses per-session cookies. Cookies are a commonly used tool to enable web developers to fine-tune the site based on user-activity trends or to enhance the functionality of the site.
    • Per-session cookies will automatically be deleted when you leave our site.
